10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Please plan to join me in celebrating the start of the summer season at our second annual Tour de Dalton bike ride. The Tour de Dalton is a family-oriented ride for Dalton Farm residents. This event is sponsored by the Dalton Farm Homeowner’s Association and is free of charge. The ride will be followed by a picnic at the Roosevelt House. As it is opening day for our pool, you are invited to stay for a swim after the ride.
There are three route options for riders to choose from. All routes start at Griffin Park and end at the Roosevelt House. Each ride will be escorted by a volunteer ride leader. All ride participants must sign a waiver and wear a CPSC approved helmet.
Short route (11:30 AM): approximately 1 mile. This is a mostly flat route ideal for families and children. It proceeds through the neighborhoods from Griffin Park to the Roosevelt House.
Medium route (11:00 AM): approximately 5 miles . This route has great views from The Ridges and is more challenging. This route starts on Roosevelt Dr. near Griffin Park and proceeds to the northern intersection of Roosevelt Dr. and Van Scoy Rd. to the southern intersection of Van Scoy Rd. and Roosevelt Dr. back down to Fortington Dr.
Long Route (10:00 AM): approximately 12 miles. This route is for experienced riders that are age 16 or older. The route leaves Dalton Farm via Recreation Dr. and takes Clove Valley Rd. / CR-9 (east) out to the traffic circle at CR-9 and Bruzgul Rd. It loops around the traffic circle and returns (west) on Clove Valley Rd. / CR-9. It turns right on Shaughnessy Rd. and proceeds to Bruzgul Rd./ CR-21. It turns left onto Bruzgul Rd. and follows Bruzgul Rd. to the Tymor Park entrance. The route proceeds through Tymor Park and joins Clove Valley Rd. / CR-9 via Dorn Rd to Furnace Rd.. The route returns to Dalton Farm via Recreation Dr. and Beekman-Poughquag Rd. / CR-7.
I hope to see you there!
