Pool Rules and Regulations

Dalton Farm pool is opening the end of May and will close mid September (hours and times vary - see managing agent for specific information).

NO LIFEGUARD WILL BE ON DUTY. It is of the utmost importance that parents teach their children about water safety and proper pool behavior.  Parents must supervise their children while enjoying the pool. Adults, also, need to observe the pool rules in respect for their neighbors’ comfort and safety.  The following is a listing of pool rules and regulations:

  • Swimming is at your own risk. We require the buddy system to be in place and no person may swim at the pool facility alone. A minimum of two people must be present whenever the pool facility is in use. At least one on the pool deck and NOT in the water. Any adult (18 years or older) who brings a child under the age of 16 must be present at the pool at all times and must supervise child(ren).
  • A phone is available at the pool area for emergency calls ONLY.
  • Pool bracelets will be issued to homeowner residents who are current with their monthly maintenance fees.  The bracelets are not transferable and must be presented in order to gain admittance to the pool area, and must be shown upon request. Adults will be issued a blue bracelet and children under 16 years of age will be issued an orange bracelet.
  • Homeowners’ guests will only be admitted when accompanied by the homeowner resident and presenting a guest pass (one pass per guest, no more than two guests per homeowner).
  • Babies and small children in diapers may not swim in either the large pool or the kiddy pool unless special swimming diapers are used.
  • Children 5 and under may only be in the large pool if accompanied into the water by an adult. An adult must also accompany children wearing authorized swimming aids into the water.  No swimming aids may be used in the deep end of the pool.
  • Use of the pool is NOT permitted when the gate is locked and “POOL CLOSED” sign is displayed.
  • Abusive language, shouting, dunking, water tag, ball playing, running, jumping, diving, misuse of equipment, or any activity that prevents others from enjoying the pool are specifically PROHIBITED.
  • A security guard is provided during the hours the pool is open…THEY ARE NOT LIFEGUARDS.  The property manager specifically delegates to the Security Guard the authority to enforce any and all rules having to do with safety and health, as may be necessary.
  • The Security Guard shall not be reprimanded by any member or guest.  All complaints shall be made in writing to the office of the property manager.
  • Furniture, vehicles, toys, games, fixtures or other equipment are not permitted within the pool deck area.
  • No person shall occupy or obstruct any areas that are marked “KEEP CLEAR”.
  • Dogs, cats or any other pet animals are strictly prohibited from the entire pool area.
  • Neither the Board of Directors’ nor the property manager bears any responsibility for loss or theft of personal property belonging to any homeowner, resident or guest.

  • No food items of any kind are to be brought into or consumed within the pool deck area.
  • Glass of any kind is strictly prohibited anywhere within the entire pool area, including mirrors, baby or thermos bottles or jars of any kind.
  • All swimming is done at the individual’s own risk.
